Behind the blog

It’s kind of weird to think that within just a few months I have found a great and supporting bloggers community. I am flattered and surprised to be nominated for another tag this time: Behind the blog tag.

What is the Behind The Blog challenge?

This challenge was created by Olivia Lucie Blake who wanted her audience to get to know her better and inspire other bloggers to do the same. The purpose of it is to share four facts about yourself that your audience doesn’t know about you and to tag four other bloggers to do the same.

I was tagged by Christine over on Raising my three and me! Thank you so much for thinking of and nominating me!

I love taking photos

Since I am new in the blogging scene it’s not hard to think of things you might not know about me. So firstly – I love taking photos. One time in my life I dreamed of becoming a photographer. Even had a good camera, learned studio lighting, and had a few sessions at the studio as a photographer. But it is time-consuming and it takes a lot of time, effort, and marketing skills to make even a little bit of money off it.

The good thing is that during this time I learned photo editing and designing which has been helpful skill on so many levels – personal and work life. Now I do take pictures of nature and family.

My favorite flower is lily

Sure I like daffodils, tulips, roses, and all other flowers. But my the most favorite flower is the lily. They are so beautiful, fragile, and the smell is amazing. I love how just one of them can fill the whole room with a sweet aroma.

And did I mention how pretty they are with their big blooms? I will plant them in my dream garden – somewhere close to the gate and windows. Just to be sure they will be greeting me home with this amazing aroma. And my house would fill with this gentle aroma every time I open the windows.

I like walking in the rain

Maybe it sounds weird, but I enjoy walking in the summer rain. It brings nature to life – you almost can hear plants growing in the rain and all the nature smells fresh. Summer rain is warm and full of energy. The same energy that makes nature bloom right after – it will give the same boost to any living thing it touches. It is also so relaxing and kind of feels like all troubles will be washed away.

I love baking and decorating cakes

It started kind of slow. Firstly I bake normal cakes… like chocolate cake with glaze, apple pies, etc. One day I didn’t know what to gift so I made a cake and decorated it with sugar frosting, flowers, and cream. It tasted and looked good. Others seemed to enjoy it so with small steps I ended up being the cake baker for all birthdays.

I love exploring new ways to decorate and I always choose a theme based on who’s cake it is. What does this person like or care for and interpret that in decoration or shape.

Who’s next?

I would love to read more about so many bloggers but I can’t tag all and some don’t want to. So I’m tagging the following four to do this “Behind The Blog” challenge! I look forward to getting to know you better and hope you have fun!

But don’t let this be the limit – if you would like to – tag yourself in my comments and I will come to read!

  1. @TiredNTenacious
  2. @theplainsimple
  3. @MusingsotMind
  4. @letsgrowmom

Let me know in the comments what did you think – or did you knew these already things? I will be looking forward to reading all of your “Behind the blog” stories.

  1. I also love walking in the rain, lilies and making cakes! Although I don’t often make them from scratch because I’m not very good at it but I just like the process and it’s a relaxing activity 🙂 Great to know a bit more about you!

    1. WOW! I have always felt I am weird but seems that I was just in the wrong crowd 🙂 I struggled with decorations too and took me a while until I was almost happy with them. Everyone else likes them though and guess it matters more than my perfection expectations. Since we have a lot of birthdays – I get to practise

  2. It has taken me a lot longer to get to this than I originally anticipated!

I enjoyed getting to know you through these facts! I love getting to know more about my blogging friends and was happy to tag you! I have always wanted to try baking and decorating cakes and cupcakes! Maybe I will have to give it a try instead of just spreading frosting with a butterknife and hoping for the best! 😂

I hope you had fun with the tag!

  3. Thank you for the tag and thank you for helping us get to know you better! I am having such a great time getting to know the bloggers in our great community. We have something in common! I LOVE the rain. Walking, dancing, listening, not to mention how it smells. For me, it can’t be beat. I am definitely not a photographer. The pictures rarely turn out how I imagine they will.

    1. My pleasure! Walking in the rain is a surprise for a lot of people. But I really do. It may be it’s because our summers here were mainly rainy while I was growing up 😀
